Cliff Viessman, Inc. (CVI) has several different divisions, which allows us to offer many opportunities to drivers.  Our driving varies from local drivers, which get home every night, to over the road drivers.  Due to the nature of the products we transport, most OTR drivers get back to their home terminal several times a week. 

Driver pay is based on percentage of load.  OTR drivers average 35 to 40 cents per mile.  The amount of money that a driver makes is up to that individual.  This allows drivers to determine their own annual income.  CVI also has one of the industries leading benefit packages.

Health, Life, and Dental insurance are free to individual CVI employees.  CVI utilizes a Cafeteria (flex) Plan which reduces your taxable income on any additional insurance coverage’s you may elect.  Please refer to the table below for more detail on the different coverage’s.

CVI has a long history of rewarding long term employees through the use of profit sharing.  Each year CVI contributes a percentage of an employee's income (this percentage has been above 7% for the last 10 years). This amount is completely contributed by the company and no additional contributions are required of the employee. Employees are fully vested in 7 years.

Health Insurance

Eligibility

Employee and family are eligible for health insurance after three months of full time employment. Benefits begin on the 1st of the month following the third full month.

Dental Plan

1. Free and begins when health benefits begin.

2. Dental plan provided by Delta Dental.

3. Includes free oral examinations at six-month intervals for individual members of employee's family.

Life Insurance

$25,000 death benefit on employee. $50,000 if death is accidental. FREE

 

Professional Driver Incentive Bonus

Drivers receive 1 cent per mile bonus. Bonus is paid for each of the three incentive periods for the year.

Profit Sharing

CVI annually contributes a percentage of employee's gross annual pay into a profit sharing fund. Employees are fully vested in seven years. The profit sharing contribution has been up to 15% of gross pay in the last ten years.

401K

CVI also has 401K plan through which CVI will match up to 3% of an employee’s gross wages.
